Folken and Hitomi, travelling by means of a column of light, now arrive in the capital of Zaibach at Dornkirk's command center. Folken, who has for some reason now decided to take his shirt off (a decision OK by me, by the way,) turns to speak to the Girl from the Phantom Moon...
Despite Hitomi's dire warnings, Folken forges on ahead to confront his former master... Soon he is face to face with the old man...
With a flap of his jet-black wings and his sword raised, Folken Fanel rushes towards the old man. His blade's aim is true, and he strikes down Lord Dornkirk, thus ending his life and his evil rule... Unfortunately, in a bitter twist of irony, a piece from Folken's sword breaks off and flies backward, stabbing Folken in the heart.
A horrified Hitomi can only watch passively as Folken falls to the floor, mortally injured.
With the death of Dornkirk, it would seem the power being emitted by his creation would likewise fade, but instead it now rages out of control.
Folken summons his last ounce of energy to speak..."Hitomi... Your powers are our only hope. Pray... Pray with all of your might!"
Hitomi clasps her hands. Will her prayers be successful? And just who is she going to pray to?
