Here is our shot of NGC-869 and NGC-884, the Double Cluster in Perseus, with the Canon Digital Rebel XTi. The telescope used was our Orion 80ED APO refractor on a Meade LXD55 mount. The image has been drastically reduced from its original 10-megapixel size for display on this web page. Though this is not the most dramatic object to photograph, I was surprized that the entire double cluster fit in a single frame. This object, however, is one that I think looks better "live" through the telescope than in pictures.
