Sung to the tune of "If I Only Had A Brain" from The Wizard of Oz. As if you didn't know.

I could while away the hours
With guys who never showered
Except for when it rained
With my friends, I'd go scopin'
'Stead of sittin' home and mopin'
If my drinking was sustained.

I'd get hit on by the bar-types,
The "I'm a star!" bizarre-types--
Their melodies "Unchained"...
With the shots I'd be drinkin'
Someone could get really stinkin'
If my drinking was sustained.

Oh, I could tell you why
The barfly's near the whore.
I could drink some things I've never drunk before.
And then I'd sit--
And drink some more.

I would not be just a fly-weight
And told to hit the highwayt,
My ev'ry thought restrained.
As it is, I unnerve me
And the waitresses won't serve me
'Cos my drinking's not sustained.
